Join the African American Museum in Philadelphia (AAMP) on Sunday, July 28, 2024, for our first-ever Sweet & Savory Mini Dessert Expo. We have invited pastry chefs to share their savory sweets and treats with diverse audiences throughout the City and surrounding region.

AAMP will host 20 pâtissiers within our galleries each representing four delectable categories the dessert and snack industry has to offer:

Baked Desserts
cakes, cookies, and pies

Frozen Desserts
ice cream, sorbets, yogurts, and gelatos

Puddings and Custards
custards, mousses, and steamed dishes

Confectioneries
candies, gum, candied nuts, and chocolates

From 4 PM to 8 PM, guests will shop with vendors in our Tasty Timeline, Candied Conversations, and Delicacy Dessert Galleries located throughout the museum.

Adults 21+ can enjoy live entertainment, food, and drinks in the Luscious Lounge, in the Jack T. Franklin Auditorium.

For all of our dessert and snack enthusiasts alike, don’t miss the opportunity to take part in this meaningful experience that helps highlight the exceptional culinary artistry found within the Black community and take part in bolstering their economic growth. Shekhinah performs at 6:45PM.
